Pengchu Power today announced new 60 Watt single-output high efficiency desktop power supply series that meet the latest global energy efficiency standards for external supplies. The 12V 5A Power Supply use less energy in both operating and standby mode, helping to reduce environmental impact.
Meeting the latest international Energy Efficiency Level VI and CoC Tier 2 standards, applicable for the US, UK and Europe, the 12V 5A Power Supply also has both medical and ITE safety approvals targeting IT, industrial and healthcare applications, as well as compliance with 4th edition EMC testing standards for medical devices.
The latest Level VI and CoC Tier 2 international standards set the requirements for average active mode efficiency, measured at 25, 50, 75 & 100% load, a minimum efficiency at 10% load and a maximum power consumption at no load. The 12V 5A Power Supply meets all of these requirements with a comfortable margin.
The model also come in Class I and Class II versions, providing designers with a choice of input earth schemes. In addition, there is an optional AC input cord retention clip for Class I models, which provides extra protection to prevent the input power connector being disconnected at the power supply. As well as meeting 4th edition medical EMC requirements, the series meets Level B EN55032 standards for both radiated and conducted emissions and also has an IP32 environmental rating providing protection from foreign objects and exposure to liquids. 12V 5A power supplies are suitable for use in a wide range of sectors including automation and process control, instrumentation, broadcast, communications and healthcare applications, as well as other specialist equipment.
The 12V 5A Power Supply is available from Allied Electronics, Digi-Key, element14, Farnell, Newark, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and come with a 3-year warranty.
